Thinking back about Stephanie and Chris' wedding, well I can't recall any single situation that really stands out to me. I'd have to say that's a good thing since the entire day was great from the beginning until the end. We enjoyed everything from the laughs in the morning to the great food and non-stop dancing at the reception. What more can photographers ask for, right?

We had a wonderful engagement session with Rachael and Erik a few weeks ago with us starting off at Stan Hywet Hall. There are so many great photographic opportunities there. After leaving Stan Hywet, we headed into downtown Akron, and kept shooting into the night, a first for us. Rachael and Erik were great with all the spots that we stopped at along the way. The laughter and their smiles at the end of the session were the same as it started - totally natural. We can't wait for October for your wedding. Enjoy the images!
Suzanna and Brian's wedding this weekend consisted of, but not limited to, a play room, black angus cows, and a Christian rap artist - not your typical wedding day. I had the pleasure of going out for a quick session a few weeks ago with Mary and Jeff, and of course their girl Lucy - such a doll. We decided on a nice trail that would break up the stuffiness of a city shoot, and enable Lucy to have a little bit of fun also.
I love how natural Mary and Jeff are around one another, and how much they laugh together. They'll be getting married next month in Charleston, SC, and let me just say Congrats to the both of you right now!!!

Thinking back about Jessica and Justin's wedding I keep remembering how fantastic the weather was. Not only was it sunny and warm, but we were outside for the majority of their wedding day - so refreshing when you think about it.

As wedding photographers, we get to meet some pretty awesome people. This past weekend we had the pleasure of being part of Ashley and Mario’s incredible wedding, and meeting their amazing family and friends. I remember thinking when we first met Sarah and Clayton last year that Dave and I knew that we would love being a part of their wedding day for two reasons; they were a great couple, and they were having their wedding at The Conrad Botzum Farmstead. We love shooting weddings in natural light, and this day would be no different.
We were also in for quite a surprise. Clayton's uncle told us to be prepared for what was to come at the reception. And as you'll see shortly - this was something that we have never seen at a wedding, and will probably never see again.

I can honestly go on and on about Missy and Kevin's wedding... it's one that I will never forget. I'll start with the fact that I have never shot a rehearsal dinner before, hopefully that changes after this wedding. I'd say about 30/40 people attended. This was such an emotional dinner for so many reasons. The speeches by both Missy and Kevin were ones that I will never forget. I'm sure at one point or another, everyone at that dinner table cried... including myself. At that point, I knew this was going to be a wedding like none that I have ever seen. I was right!
Kevin and Missy, I was honored to be a part of your amazing weekend. You are the kind of clients that photographers dream of. But more importantly, you are amazing friends! Congrats to Missy and Kevin!!!

Leading up to this wedding, well I was a little worried about the weather. Not because of rain, but because of the heat that we experienced the week prior. Luckily, Jessica and Justin's wedding day was absolutely perfect, in every sense of the word. Here are a few teasers for now, so enjoy! This was yet another spectacular performance from the dancers at the University of Akron. Sometimes it's hard to accurately depict events like these with the great choreography (from the students), the lighting, and the music. I can't even to begin to describe the dancers themselves. I do hope my images convey a little glimpse of how well they performed. The full set of images can be seen here. Enjoy!!!
I don't want to sound like a broken record but jump at the chance to see these very talented dance students perform if the opportunity presents itself. I went the first night of their performance to photograph the event, but it was so good that I actually went back the second night to simply enjoy the show (and do a little more shooting). I'll be sure to make a post here for their next performance, which I think will be in a few weeks... For now, enjoy a small sample of the images! The full set can be seen here.
I love MAC basketball tournament time, and this year was no different from the previous years. This was a fantastic, but long 4 days of shooting 14 games. Congrats to the Ohio and Bowling Green teams for winning the championships. The following shots are a small sample of the full set. The rest can be found here. Enjoy!
Dave and I were thrilled when we met Lauren and Zac and found out their wedding would be in the winter season. We viewed it as a nice change of pace from the heat of the summer. When the sun rose that morning, I don't think anyone was let down. Gorgeous blue skies and snow covered fairways provided just the backdrop we think they had hoped for when planning their winter wedding. Inside the country club we were surrounded by wonderful family and friends. It really couldn't have turned out better. We hope our images convey what a treat it was to be a part of their special day.
